Hi guys! Happy Fall. It’s definitely my favorite time of the year because of the cozy feel the season bring. Some people love summer because they love being outdoors, or Spring for the beautiful florals. I love all of those too but Fall definitely surpasses the others for me.
Today’s post I’m sharing three really easy and simple ways to change the mood/decor in your home to reflect and feel more fall.
- 1. Pull out your candles. Fall is officially sweater season and nothing adds more cozy to your home than candles do. It instantly changes the mood. You can shop my amazing candle line, OLISMI, to experience the immaculate and invigorating aroma of our gratitude collection. I highly recommend Candere and Oudh as our top Fall scents. If you want something more floraly, then for sure try our Aenean Scent. All three scents are wonderful and will really change what being home feels like.
- 2. Add greenery from your garden, outdoor, branches from the park or along public walkway. Fall is that time of the year where simple greenery makes perfect sense. I created this floral arrangement by cutting a few branches from my olive tree and hedging- you can check out the video on my Instagram page under Fall Story Highlights. While this isn’t an over the top floral arrangement, it absolutely created a cozy and fall-like mood in my home. They do not have to be uniformed or specific. You can also use dried branches that may have fallen from trees. I plan to get some at my local park to fill out another vase at home. I love that the maintenance is low and that they aren’t synthetic. My vase is from Arhaus and it’s currently on sale. The beige vase in the upper left hand corner is from Target (comes in 2 sizes) and a recent purchase, it is beautiful.
- 3. Try switching your bedding, blankets, or curtains to mild-darker colors. I tend to have white on my bed Spring and Summer but as fall approached, I have now switched to beiges and creams. It’s a subtle change but it is certainly noticeable.
Thanks for reading and I hope this post encouraged you to bring a cozy Fall vibe to your home.
