How To Wear Corduroy During The Summer + Shop These Pieces

Hi Guys,
So, after what felt like a forever gloom hovering over the city of Los Angeles, we  finally got some sun this week and it's been hot. Yesterday I was heading to get my nails done and I really wanted something breathable to wear. After scouring through my closet and drawers I came upon this corduroy dress I bought last Fall. At first I thought "oh no, I'm going it be hot in this" but I opted for it anyway because it is short enough and also I didn't have to iron it :)

Well, turns out I was so wrong because it held up so well in the heat and I felt super comfortable and relaxed. I realized that I can wear corduroy in the summer as long as I pair it with other breathable fabrics and the style/cut is suitable. I wouldn't wear say a corduroy jumpsuit or corduroy long sleeved dress during the summer. But this little dress and the color was perfect.

I went ahead and looked up a few other ones that compares tot his dress and that I have my eyes on. I thought I'd share. See them below in the widget.

Reflecting On My Skincare Journey + Olay Summer Favorites

This post is in partnership with Olay. All Opinions are 100% my own.
Hi Guys,
Today's post is a bit personal as I'm going to talk about my skincare journey over the last year. Before I get into it, I want to give you a little back story on my skin. Like most little girls growing up, I had flawless face. As a teenager, I still had a flawless face. I did not suffer from one bit of acne and I considered myself lucky. This good streak of good luck followed me all the way through until I was about twenty-five. I experienced my first ever acne breakout and it was bad. I was certain I had eaten something, put something on my face, or caught something somewhere. But no, it was adult acne. I had no clue a thing called adult acne existed. I struggled for about two years trying to figure out what to do with my skin. Before my adult acne, the only one thing I had always used consistently was eye-cream. My mom introduced me to one of Olay's eye-creams and it was one in a red tube and I loved it. The packaging was different too. I did a little research and decided to concentrate on meticulous skincare using Olay because I had already gained trust in this eye cream. Olay was the start of my adult skin recovery skin care journey.
Now fast forward: I'm thirty-three and I still use and love Olay. Over the past year, through my partnership with Olay, I had recommitted myself to include multiple Olay products into my skincare regimen. I tried out almost all of their new products, stuck with some of my old favorites and, I even used them exclusively for 30 days straight in preparation for my wedding. I've learned a lot about my skin and I can proudly say, Olay has played a big role in that. My skin is temperamental, it's seasonal, and it reacts to weather change. To remedy all the stages my skin went through, there was an Olay product and I'm thankful for that. If you skip through the beauty section of my blog or type Olay in the search bar, you will see many articles I have written about many of their products. I trust them with my skin and I trust them because they take into account every type of skin, they study, test and perfect each product we see on the shelves. This is extremely important to me. I'm passionate about skincare and I believe everyone can achieve optimal skin. It just takes patience, love, care, and the right Olay products.
Since we've just entered summertime, I wanted to highlight some of my favorite Olay products for the summer and I recommend them 100%. The key one for me is the Olay Ultimate Hydration Energizing Mist. You guys, this is a golden product that does wonders. It will help remedy dull, dry and exhausted skin which is bound to happen during the summer. It mists over the face evenly and is perfect to carry around throughout the day. I sometimes put mine in my car, handbag, and I keep it also at my work desk. It's great for all skin types. My other two faves for the summer are Olay SUN Face Sunscreen + Shine Control with SPF and the Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream. I've written about them here and here.
We're on a skincare journey whether we realize it or not. For me, I enjoy sharing about products I find useful and it gives me joy to see and hear that it works for you, too.
I hope you enjoyed this post and that it was useful to you.
Happy Summer.

Details On My Bridesmaids Dresses From Kleinfeld

Today’s post is all about my bridesmaids dresses from Kleinfeld. If you’ve followed my wedding posts, you may have seen my prior post about shopping for my bridesmaids dresses. You can read it here. Finally, I get to share with you the one that made the cut.
I went with this Removeable Bandeau Kleinfeld Long bridesmaid dress and style because just like my own dress, I wanted my girls to look classy, classic, and timeless in their dresses. This dress had a removable bandeau piece but none of the girls wore it. Instead, a few of the girls got their busted area tacked. The wedding was an all white wedding with hints of greenery and gold. We asked our guests to wear all white because the venue grounds is lush green and surrounding a beautiful white castle.
This left me open to chose whichever color I wanted for the bridesmaids. I don’t like colors to clash or look messy and I loved either silver blue or silver grey. Here comes this beautiful dress in Silver grey to make my day. It was a great choice as I considered the body types of my girls and how it would fit them all. That was a key detail that was important to me. I really wanted all of them to feel and look beautiful, equally.
Kleinfeld Bridal Party had so many choices but this was the choice for me and my girls and they loved it. They all looked absolutely beautiful and graceful. Lincoln said when he saw them he just amazed at how gorgeous they all looked in their dresses. He kept thinking wow wow wow. My heart melted and I was at ease.

Hope you enjoyed this post.

My Day Of Wedding Stationery From Minted

Hey guys, welcome to another series of my wedding posts. Today I’m sharing details on stationery I used on my wedding day. I used Minted for both my Save The Dates and Invitations so it’s no surprise I also used them for my day of stationery. I love Minted, they have an amazing inventory to match every taste. I went with clean white and gold details for the day of stationery just like I did for the invitations.

I chose these foil pressed program with thick paper for a luxurious feel. The table numbers were just beautiful and each table was named after a parish in Jamaica. The guests name cards and menus also in white and gold were rich, simple, and chic.

I created a unisex candle scent for our guests and I chose these stickers and candle pouch bags from Minted to place them in. It turned out just like I wanted it to and it looked beautiful. Lincoln and I did a first look at the reception to see the decor and table setting etc before all the guests sat down and we loved seeing all the minted pieces come together. I especially loved that everything was customizable and minted ensures that all the details I've uploaded is correct before printing.
Hope you enjoyed this post.
