In My Happy Place With barkTHINS

Hi Loves,

Do you have that one snack and that single place/space that makes you super happy? A lot of things make me happy and currently, I have found myself looking forward to coming home, relaxing, watching reality TV, and snacking on my yummy barkTHINS Dark Chocolate Pretzel with Sea Salt that I pick up at my local Walgreens. Yum yum!!

I love the taste of the crisp pretzel texture along with yummy dark chocolate and a touch of sea-salt- It's Snacking. Elevated. I've talked here on the blog before that I work a full 9-5 job, a demanding and ever changing one. Sometimes my days are challenging and overwhelming but, I set my eyes on going home to the comfort of my home relaxing to all the things that calms my nerves.

Recently, I have been trying to find balance in my life. I mean, it's like I am looking for a balance beam to help me stay true to my 9-5 job, my blog, my personal relationships, and my family. It has become overwhelmingly hard. Two Sundays ago, I literally bummed out at home refusing to do anything. I simple snacked on food around the house, walked around with my fro puffed to the ceiling, rejected every phone call that came in and ignored every single text messages. It was my day of saying No to everything else and YES to myself.

I cannot begin to tell you how relaxed I felt the next day. I was so ready to take on the week. The only ill was that I was up to my neck with work and had my back against the wall for the earlier part of the following week. I still have no regret about it at all. So, with at said here are five self care tips I want to practice and I hope you join me.

1. Take one hour everyday to just be. Do something that you know will truly make you happy

2. Practice the art of saying NO. Sometimes, a no is necessary because while the heart is willing, doesn't always mean the body and mind can take it on.

3. Work out at least 15mins EVERYDAY.

4. Take time to talk with or spend time with someone special, uninterrupted.

5. Do a good deed for someone everyday- Say something nice, smile, hold the door.

Favorite Products From The K-Beauty Skin Care Line At CVS Pharmacy

Ah, I have been so excited about writing this post and sharing with you. So, you know I am obsessed with skincare and that you can depend on me to find amazing products to share with you all. Well, today’s post is no exception and I’m partnering with CVS Pharmacy to tell you about the new line of K-Beauty products they have available. You heard me right! Korean Beauty products at amazing price points right at your local pharmacy. I mean, am I kidding or what? Nope, surely I am not. So when the line came out, I rushed to my local CVS Pharmacy and scooped up a few items and I am LOVING them. I love switching up my beauty routine from month to month because my skin is funny and I know it very well. Switching my routine often helps my skin in that it attracts and responds to something new, hence less breakouts and issues, for me.

This Elisha Coy Skin Refreshing Snail Cleanser is ah-mazing. I’ve tried a few snail based Korean products before and this one is simply what it says, refreshing. It’s gentle, gives me a deep cleanse and removes my make up very well. My favorite thing is that my skin feels super hydrated after-very important to me.

The Elisha Coy Skin Repairing Snail Essence is such a great combo to use after the cleanser. I simply apply it all over my face and massage it out until all is absorbed. It has an anti-aging component and I’m quite fine with that. My skin retains more moisture and it gives it a bright beautiful glow.

Now, let’s talk about this Holika Holika Pig-Nose Clear Blackhead Peeling Massage Gel . Since I cannot afford to do a facial as often as I want (yea I’m very budget ridden), I always look for products that gives me spa quality treatments at home. This gel has been amazing to incorporate into my routine. Since we’re not supposed to continuously squeeze blackheads from our faces (there’s a professional way to do it), I was excited to try this gel and I loved it. It helped my blackheads to surface and deeply cleaned what’s under there.

I haven’t tried this mask yet, I’m actually planning to put it on tonight but judging from the cleaner and essence, I already know it will be magical. I’m also thinking about trying this Peach Slices Aqua Jelly Lip Mask , Saem Urban Eco Waratah Toner.

Have you guys tried this new K-Beauty line from CVS Pharmacy as yet? What are your favorite products? I do encourage that if you plan on going in store, call ahead because these products are hot and go fast. Additionally, ask a store attendant to help you locate them if you can't find it in the aisle.
