Skin & Hair: Hello Moroccanoil Fleur D'orange Collection

Well hello there Loves!
I'm back at it again with some beauty talk, and today I want to update you about some of my current favorite products from Moroccanoil . I've shared my love for Moroccanoil in a hair-care post last year and I wanted to try out their skin care, plus some other hair care  items and I'm amazed, although I shouldn't be, because if their hair care line was any indication of quality, I'm in good hands.
Come with me as I walk you through my current faves from the Moroccanoil Fleur d'Oranger Collection
This Hand Cream lives at my bedside. I absolutely love the moisture and soft fragrance it treats my skin with. It's a good remedy for dryness, when I wash my hands or brush my teeth, or get out of the shower and hopping into bed. It is also a great option to have in your handbag, car, desk at work, or wherever accessible to really help keep your hands happy.
This Body Buff is absolutely amazing! My favorite thing about it, is the supple feel and gorgeous glow it gives my entire body after applying it. I literally feel like a pampered movie star. Ha!
The scent is also very fulfilling and it doesn't rub off on my clothes or sheets.
At first I wasn't sure about this shower milk, I guess because I was stuck on a shower gel I have been using for the last year. After my second use, my skin felt super hydrated. You know that feeling of being thirsty and drinking a whole bottle of water? Yes, exactly how my skin felt. It also helped that I stepped out of the shower feeling as if I had already applied moisturizer.
A good Body Soufflé goes a long way. OMG, that rhymed!!!!. I used this right as I step out of the shower and my skin is damped. Really, you can choose between this or the Body Buff I mentioned above.
I've also tried the Moisture & Shine Shampoo and Moisture & Shine Conditioner from this line and I am especially in love with the conditioner and my goodness it smell ah-mazing. My hair was extra dirty and the shampoo did give me a good lather, I only needed to wash once.
Is anyone else obsessed with the Moroccanoil brand, and have you tried their Fleur d'Oranger line? If so, share with us your thoughts.  If you have not tried them, I urge you to try them out.

Thanks for swinging by loves

My Microblading Experience At Val's Beauty Ink

Hello there Loves!
This post has been a long time coming and today I am talking about my experience with microblading and why I decided to do it. I've sat on the thought for the last year or so and finally jumped on the ship and, I must admit, I am extremely happy I did.
What is Microblading you may ask? It is a semi-permanent tattoo where pigment is implanted under the skin. It is not as permanent as a real tattoo. it could last up to 16 months before you need to do a touch up. A qualified artists such as Val will mimic your natural hair and draw hair-like strokes on the eyebrow.
After researching multiple Microblading specialist, I decided to go with Val's Beauty Ink. She has two locations in Los Angeles but I did my treatment in her Downtown salon. I'm pretty happy I went with Val. Her reviews on Yelp made me feel extremely secure and safe. What made my experience even more a better one was her warm and welcoming salon. I instantly felt like family and I was not expecting that at all. I expected to show up, get my services done, and be out. Instead, I walked away feeling like family. The other clients, new and old, I could tell felt like family too. My trust factor as to how she would do the job went beyond a thousand percent.
All of this really helped made me relax and trust val to take my eye-brows from nay to yay. :)
I took a few pictures at home before I went for my appointment on Saturday morning. To date, it was three weeks ago. I have really been meaning to write this post but as many of you know from my Instagram, I was out of the country for a bit. As you can tell my brows are thin and out of shape. I literally used to spend 5-10 minutes pretty much everyday perfecting my eyebrows while putting on my make up, but no more.
Val measured my face and calculated the dimensions of my eyebrows. I honesty thought she was going to jus ask me to draw out my eyebrows how I wanted them and she would replicate it. Haha! I guess I missed that part while researching Microblading. However, while she measured my face, that also instantly calmed my nerves as I could trust and feel this is beyond true professionalism.
After the measurements, she drew on a frame and asked me what I thought about the width. I actually asked her to make it thinner as it seemed too thick. She easily obliged and now I regretted that I asked her to make it thinner. She did tell me not to watch the thickness of what she drew, I should look in between the lines but I was nervous and went thinner. I should have totally trusted her more. She did not at any point force or fuss about asking to go thinner, she simply oblige like a true professional. I noted that as very remarkable and customer focused service.

She then based my eyebrows with numbing cream and let me sit for 15 minutes so that it could be nicely numb and ready to go.
My eyebrows faith was now in Val's hand and it was about to go down. Hehe! The nerves kicked in a little bit but Val's calming spirit made the first stroke so easy and bearable. Well, along with numbing cream. It hurt a tad bit (and by my standards a tad bit means zero to very little pain for others). My threshold to pain is so small, even little pinch on my arm is painful for me so, you get the idea.

She went over each brown simultaneously and for each time she went over it, she added more numbing cream. I think by the 3rd time I could not feel any pain and we were having regular conversation as if we were a a coffee shop.
Once done, she sealed my brows, left me to relax a bit and them wiped them off. The reveal was amazing because I did not to peek throughout the process, I just wanted a grand reveal and grand it was. I was so so so excited and pleased. I literally felt like a brand new woman. I know, cliche but it's true.
As you can see the big difference from my before to my after and yes, that is exactly what my brows look like.
Now, this is a two step process. I have to return in six weeks (3 weeks from now) for the final fill to ensure the color is perfect and full. It took me a solid 5 days to heal.
I also recorded the actual process but I haven't had time to edit it yet but I do hope to do it soon. I'm in and out of my head and plans to start my Youtube Channel but I am so buried with both my 9-5 and this blog, I'm not sure I have enough time to commit to a channel. I'm highly likely going to do it in the next 3 months and once I do, I will update this post for you all to watch.
Also, I will share my follow-up post with you all in a part two series.

My take aways:
Microblading is worth every penny
Miroblading gives your face a beautiful lift and definitely enhances your confidence
Micorblading should be researched and an experienced and trusted professional should be sought out
Microblading process is easier than many of us think

Finally loves, I've asked Val if se could offer my readers any discount on their procedure and she said YES. She is offering $200 off and all you have have to do is use code KEYMA at checkout to redeem that or simply contact her here and tell her I sent you. I know many of you aren't in Los Angeles but you can also set an appointment if you plan to visit LA anytime.

If you have any additional questions, email me or leave a comment below and I will be happy to answer.

Stay tuned for part two within the next month.
Have you done Microblading before? How was your experience? Or, are you looking to do it? Let me know if this article has helped you in any way.

One For You One For Me: Dove Advanced Care Deodorant

Thank you Dove for sponsoring this post. Be sure to try Dove Advanced Care Antiperspirant & Refer-A-Friend to try it too -- it provides 48 hour odor and wetness protection plus added skincare benefits for softer, smoother underarms.

Well Hello there Loves!
Do you just a beauty product you love so much you feel compelled to share. I do! Nine times out of ten whenever I gift a beauty product it is because I absolutely love it and I just cannot contain myself. It’s no secret I am a fan of Dove Advanced Care Antiperspirant. I have talked about it on this blog before. On my recent trip to stock up, I decided to grab an extra one for my girlfriend. We usually have similar taste in beauty products and I was in the giving mood so I picked up a fresh scent I knew she would like. Plus, the added value that Dove Advanced Care Antiperspirant offers 48 hours of odor and wetness protection I knew she’d be like “Thank you Girlfriend”. She actually said exactly that. She loved how moisturizing it is and she also commented on the size of the bottle. She said, ”this will last me a good while”, and I’m sure it will because my bottle served me for a long period.
For me I consider the 48hrs of odor and wetness protection plus added skincare benefits with Dove ¼ moisture and NutriumMoisture for softer, smoother underarms; Yes, please! I love that my underarm feels fresh and soft all day long and I can go about with maximum confidence. You get me?!
Have you tried Dove Advanced Care Antiperspirant before? How do you like it? Do tell. You can find it at your local convenience store in the self-care aisle.

Have a great rest of week Loves.

Combating Dry Winter Skin With Curel®

Thank you to Curél® for sponsoring this post!

Hi there Loves!
Today I want to have a skin care conversation with you, so I suggest you get comfy and let’s chat, shall we? We’re in the height of winter and I must say, it’s my least favorite time of the year. Why? Because I’m highly obsessed with my skin and how it looks, and for some reason during the winter months, my skin isn’t at its best. So yes, I’m usually bummed and struggling. See, my issue is dry skin, especially around my elbows, kneecaps, and ankle area. Seemingly, anywhere joints meet. After reading multiple reviews, searching for, and trying out new products, I have finally found THE ONE, Curél® Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer. At first I thought, OK, here goes another trial. But, anything to get my skin right, right?! I’ve had amazing results using Curél® Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer over the last month and here’s what I came to realize: it has ceramides which helps to maintain the skin’s moisture barrier and that translates to moisturized, all over smoother skin. My skin felt softer after my first use; I just keep stroking my elbows and I have to gush at how healthy my skin appears again.

The trick though my loves, is to apply Curél® Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer onto wet skin. Sometimes I will use a product and not quite follow the instructions, but with this one, I highly recommend that you always put it on onto wet skin. I actually keep it at the door of my shower and simply moisturize in the bathroom, towel dry and off I go. I might be a bit obsessive that I still add a tad bit more once I slip into my robe and am enjoying a good reality show or talking on the phone. It has become a soothing and enjoyable time spent with my skin.
So, if you have been experiencing some of these same dry or extra dry skin issues be it recently or all your life, and if you’re frustrated about other products not being able to deliver what they say they will, then let me tell you loves, Curél® Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer is your savior. It’s also dermatologist recommended and completely grease-less. You can thank me later.:)

I do hope you guys found this post useful as I am committed to trying new products for issues that I have, and that I know sharing will be of benefit for many of you. I'm pretty much your guinea pig, right?

Ethical Skincare With Trufora

For those of you who personally know me or have been following my blog and social platforms knows how much I seek to accomplish 'perfect' skin. Skincare is something my girlfriends and I discuss ALL the time. In a way, I think of my blog as a relationship-platform between you and I. While I do not know many of you, I know you stop by to read on whatever portion of this blog that speaks to you the most. Today, I'm on the ever so loved topic of skincare. I consider myself your guinea pig and I will test and try out new products for a period of time and then share it with you. We all have different skin types and I do hope that many of you have benefitted from theses types of posts.
I recently discovered  Trufora, an ethical and environmentally friendly skin care line. What this means is that this skin care brand makes products that are not harmful to your skin or the environment. Their products are dermatologist tested, fragrance-free, and suitable for ALL skin types. I decided to try out a system of their products, meaning I am using two or more products and here's what I am using and my thoughts:
Say hello to this amazing Intensive Night Treatment. I'm literally a giddy cat in the mornings just hopping to the mirror to look at my face. I wake up to a firmer, more supple face, and I can tell the difference as opposed to if I had not used the cream before bed. I can also tell that it added moisture to my skin too.
The one beauty item I became obsessed with ever since I hit my 30s is eye cream and Trufora's Perfecting Eye Cream does wonders. There are days when I am overworked or haven't slept good and a bit of this really helps to alleviate eye-bags and is great for dark circles. If you suffer form any of these or simply looking for a good eye cream, this is highly recommended. I find that what it did for me the most was hydrate under my eyes and that's amazing.
My Loves, here's something I really want each of you to take away from this post, day cream with SPF (at least 30) is key and this Titanium Day Cream SPF 30 is a tinted glowy moisturizer with SPF. I call it a 3-in-1 because you get the benefits of a moisturizer, a SPF, and a tinted coverage. So for those of you who do not wear much make-up, this is a great option. You simple apply in the mornings before you head out and be on your way. You skin will be protected and rejuvenated each day and the tint is great for all skin tones.
I truly hope you found this post useful and that my recommendation will help some of you. My skin is very tricky and studying and trying out new products is what helps me to maintain. I'm thinking of trying Trufora's Tripple Action Exfoliator next so I may update this post if I do.
Have a great weekend and come back and let me know if you have tried these products and your thoughts. ALso check them out on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
xoxo

My Progress Update With Jenny Craig

Thank you Jenny Craig for sponsoring this post. -- Get serious about losing weight with Jenny Craig!
Hi Loves!
Happy Midweek. I’m here with all sort of midweek inspiration for you my loves. Today, I wanted to give you an update on my Jenny Craig progress. If you haven’t seen my first post, then click here, to see why I decided to try out JennyCraig. Coming off of my first two weeks in my first post I have experienced so much more being on the Jenny Craig program, some good, some discouragement, and some happy times.
My first point of mention is the awesome flavor and variety of the food. I cannot stress enough just how much I didn’t expect the food to taste so good and or so many regular everyday options. I loved that with Jenny Craig, I didn’t have to give up enjoying the foods I love as their extensive 100+ menu items had things like Pizza, Pasta, Burgers… to name a few. I really learned about portion control as each meal was portioned out based on the daily calorie count my consultant and I decided on the very first day I visited. I’m on my second to last week and I think I am quite the expert on how to portion my food independently. That is huge for me because that was my main issue.
There were two weeks where I lost 2* pounds and I was so excited and felt an urge of confidence and a desire to do better. However, the human part of me also struggled, I gained 1 pound one week which negated a pound, I had lost the prior week. That was not fun. I also gained another pound another week but that was due to my own recklessness ( I traveled and just wasn’t prepared mentally). There was also a week when my weight did not move and that confused me a bit. Plus, my body is still a functioning entity that reacts to things that I sometime shave no idea why.  But, my consultant was super awesome and me feel OK, you know, it happens. With Jenny Craig, you always have someone there to cheer you on, motivate you , and keep you on track. Please note  *Results not typical. Members following the Jenny Craig program, on average, lose 1-2 lbs. per week. I received promotional consideration’.

All in all, I enjoyed being on the program, I am 3 pounds away from my goal weight loss and I bet I will knock it out this last week and  a half. Let me know if you have tried the Jenny Craig Program before loves and how you like it. Or, do you plan to try it anytime to help you take on a healthy lifestyle?

Thanks for swinging by loves
