Getting Dressed With Haute And Borrowed

Well Hello there darlings!
For those of who who watch my silly insta-stories then you likely have seen this dress before. Well, you saw three dresses that I borrowed from Haute and Borrowed. What is Haute and Borrowed? Well let me tell you my little secret. Haute and Borrowed is a website where you can borrow clothing and jewelry monthly based on the membership level you choose. With that membership, you can keep the items as long as you want or exchange them for news ones as many times per month as you like.

I'm on the Trendsetter membership and I'm seriously thinking of going up to the Wanderlust membership. Being a blogger comes with many perks such as being invited to many events and with that I would like to wear a different outfit to each event. I mean, there is almost always a photographer on site and why wear the same items twice if I can borrow multiple items. Additionally, I do work a full time job, Monday to Friday, and my work environment is pretty stylish and trendy. I also attend lots of work meetings all over town and work trips a few times per year. This works for me. Of course I still have and buy staple items for myself but I find this idea a great option that actually saves me a ton based on my lifestyle.
It's not just for your blogger or trendy work vibe lifestyle, this can literally work for anyone. The good thing is that Haute and Borrowed has different level of membership. If you are looking for a wedding guest dress or a cute option for a cocktail party, or graduation, then why not just borrow the items rather than buy them which equates to so much more than how much you pay to borrow.

My other logic is that I almost always only wear occasion pieces just once. I'm thinking, for that one piece's cost, I could wear 2-4 items. I'm winning.

My items arrived within 2 business days and it came with a pre-paid return label and all I need do is just drop it off in the same box it came in to the USPS.

Last weekend was a busy one for me and this membership really saved my style life. I will post my other two dresses next week for you to see.

I've also linked the items I am wearing as you can purchase them in a regular store or better, borrow my dress and necklace from Haute and Borrowed. Check out the original price tag on this dress. You get my drift.

Hope you found this post useful loves

Cozy Winter Look

Hi there loves.

Today I want to share with you the cozy winter look. I mean, what's cozier than a super soft, extra long blanket scarf, and soft tops. I'm talking about my kind of winter here people :) The southern California kind. Oh, you know you want to have this type of winter don't you? Hehe ok, I won't rub it in anymore.
I'm a scarf obsessed gal. I own a lot of scarves and I love that they ad a nice touch to an outfit or more importantly, keep me warm. Cozy pieces such as this soft cotton top is also of importance during the winter time. My pants are actually very soft denim-like pants too. As you know, our winters in Southern California sometimes afford us to be able to leave our toes out so I completed this look by wearing these transparent booties.

What are some of your winter must have items?

Louis Vuitton for UNICEF Event

Happy Monday loves!
I have been meaning to share this post with you all and I'm so excited that I am finally getting around to it. I attended the Louis Vuitton for UNICEF event a little over a week ago at the Louis Vuitton store in Costa Mesa, CA.  The event was held in multiple Louis Vuitton location all over the country. It was a social event and many bloggers and influencers, like myself, came together for a beautiful cause to #makeapromise to help children in urgent need. Now whenever a child is mentioned, my heart breaks. It worries me to my core that innocent kids of this beautiful world are indeed of basic necessities. With my platform comes a social and moral responsibility and this cause it one I thought was worth my time, voice, and donation. Louis Vuitton has designed a lock pendant and a bracelet in an effort to raise money for this beautiful cause. Now I know it is a steep cost for us regular folks, I did not purchase a pendant or bracelet, but I did donate, and if you can I encourage you to do the same here.
Even though, this was a charity event, the girls and I had a blast. Some I knew from our IG community and some I was meeting for the first time. We enjoyed yummy apps and delicious champs as we mingled and enjoyed lovely fashion and photobooth-gif fun.
Remember you can make a donation here and I hope this posts inspired you.
Thanks for reading loves

A Taste Of Jamaica

Hello there Loves!
Ok, so I have been holding out on you guys with sharing bits and pieces of my trip to Jamaica last month. I really didn't not plan on blogging anything at all but I was going through my phone and found a bunch of cool and cute shots and decided not to be a picture hugger and share. I'll be back in Jamaica very soon and I plan of giving you all  abetter experience through photos and possibly video.  I'll also do a decent travel guide on where to go what do and the best insider/local info you can get.

So here goes: Top photo was taken at Tensing Pen Hotel in Negril.
I wore this gorgeous lace jumpsuit to a party in Kingston

Spent a Sunday afternoon with amazing friends in Ocho Rios. We enjoyed beach vibes, good food, and music.
Shot these photos to capture the beautiful backdrop as we made our way into Ocho Rios
Ocho Rios is filled with greenery and beauty.
One of my girlfriend traveled with me for a few days and she wanted to go to the market. I took her to the Market in Savanna la Mar, Westmoreland. It's a large open market where you can buy fresh ground provisions, spices, fruits, and authentic Jamaica products. Photo above are of Nutmeg
Above: dried coconuts, scotch bonnet peppers, cho-cho, and garlic.
Yams, bananas, papaya, and soursop.
Home made brooms, strainers, and other household items.
Spice shop-  I stacked up on meat seasoning, chicken seasoning, curry powder, all purpose seasoning, fish seasoning, chocolate sticks, and so much more.
Above: Taken at Rockhouse Hotel, Negril
Fort Charlotte, Lucea- Old fort with remnants of canons and structure that used to guard west. Read more here
I spent most of my time in a quiet part of Negril away from the tourism and local gatherings but close enough to grab food and enjoy all there is. It was relaxing and peaceful, jus tike I wanted it. I woke up and walked a few steps to the beach, enjoyed the pool, sat under the tress and just be.
Caught a beautiful sunset one evening.

I wore this gorgeous dress on Christmas Day. Made by OMOGECREATIONS
Hope you enjoyed this little "taste" of Jamaica post.
