Today I’m at it again, talking skin care. My face has been very stubborn, out of control, and extremely inflexible lately. I’m literally just over it and it’s behavior. I wish my face was like a handbag or pair of shoes, just switch it out if it is not working with the rest of my ensemble. As you can tell, I’m quite fussy and finicky with my face, and when it doesn’t behave how I want to it, I go above and beyond to tame and treat it back to normal.

I’ve been experimenting and I have been loving CeraVe lately. I am particularly using this brand for my evening routine. I wear make-up every day, with the exception of some Sundays, since that is the only day I sometimes get to stay in. During the week, I like heading to the gym after work and after my workouts, I have been using the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser and CeraVe Moisturizing Cream.

The CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser has been just a life saver, it removes dirt, oil, and make-up as ceramides and hyaluronic acid moisturize, soften, and help repair skin barrier. It also has a tingling sensation which I love. I apply it just like any other cleanser and I really do not need a lot. I massage my face in circles so as to enhance more blood flow on my face, and upwards so as to not pull down on my face which tends to age people who practice washing their face downwards. I let it stay for about 3 minutes then rinse.

You babes know how much I love a good DIY and creating or enhancing at home beauty products. I created a coffee scrub using :

1 Tablespoon of CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser (as the base)

1 tablespoon of ground coffee

1 tablespoon of brown sugar

1 tablespoon of coconut oil.

Mix it all together, apply to face, circular motion, rinse and then moisturize. I do the coffee scrub twice per week.

After I have rinsed the cleanser and/or my homemade coffee scrub, I follow-up with the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream which really helps to moisturize and restore protective skin barrier with vital ceramides. I love unscented moisturizers on my face, especially when I am prepping for bed. Again, a small amount goes a long way and when I wake up in the mornings, I can totally feel the difference of my skin; refreshed, moisturized, and ready to start my day.

Once I'm all moisturized, I enjoy a cup of tea and read a few chapters of my favorite book before I head to bed. My beauty evening routine is really important to me, not just the physical, but also the mental. If I am not having tea right before bed, then I'll have a glass of homemade flavored water, especially during the summertime. I also tend to do something that will calm my mind and put the stress of the day behind me. Sometimes a book, sometimes a funny movie or sitcom, or mediation and prayer.

CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser: Also removes dirt, oil and makeup while replenishing skin with ceramides. This is a great option for those who have sensitive skin. It gives less of a tingling sensation compared to the hydrating cleanser.

CeraVe Sunscreen Face Lotion SPF 50: Sunscreen is something some of us take for granted but, I have learned over and over, the importance of SPF and this provides broad spectrum, lightweight sun protection plus vital ceramides.

CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion: Again, we all know we need to protect our skin from the sun and this both moisturizes and provides broad spectrum sun protection. I apply this in the mornings just before applying any of my make-up.

These two have been living in my make-up bag lately. They are small enough to fit in my make-up bag and accessible.

Hi loves!

Today’s post is a special one. Many of you know that I am slightly addicted to coffee and you can tell when you scroll through my Instagram or see my snaps on Snapchat. The funny thing is, I did not grow up drinking coffee or caffeine for that matter. It just wasn’t served in our household or encouraged to drink. In a way, I am happy it was like that because to the level of how much I love coffee right now, I just couldn’t imagine the monster I would have been today. Haha!

Fast forward to today and to tell you just how busy my life is would pretty much sound like “she is making that up”. Well, I work a full time job along with blogging which is pretty much another full time job. Added to that I have to make time to hang with friends and family and also time for myself. I am always running around, and honestly, I drink coffee to help me through my days. With that said, I almost always have to have my Dunkin’ Donuts® Creamers to spruce up my coffee anywhere I go.

I never know where my day will lead me and when I will need my creamers. Instead of carrying them around in a box, I employ this simple stylish DIY mason jar container which makes it even easier, more fun, and so much more functional.

Here’s my easy DIY mason jar instructions:

2 mason jars

20 inches of twine

Wine glass writer

A scissors

Dunkin’ Donuts® Coffee Creamers (I’m using caramel flavor here)

1. Cut twine in half, 10 inches each

2. Wrap neck of mason jar and make a knot

3. Use wine glass writer to write whatever you want on the mason jar (because I like to share, I wrote ‘take one’ on one of mine-if I leave it in my office or at an offsite meeting, I like people to feel they can grab one or some to add flavor to their coffee )

4. Fill your jar up with your favorite flavor/s and you're done. Super easy.

I can easily fit my jar in my hand bag and if I'm at the office, It's easy to grab for it from my handbag or my drawer without leaving my desk, saving me time while getting work done.

I also love having access to my Dunkin'® Donut Creamers in the car as I tend to head straight to the gym after work and may need a quick drink of flavor in my evening cup of coffee. When I say anywhere, I literally mean anywhere.

I even made a jar, filled it up, and gave it to my guy. He keeps his in his glove compartment for days when he needs it.

Head over to your local Walmart and in the coffee isle you will find these yummy Dunkin’ Donuts® Creamers. There are three flavors-Hazelnut, Caramel, and Vanilla. I love the caramel, it is extra flavorful and creamy.

Now that’s what I call convenience, with style, to help me enjoy my coffee anywhere I go.
