Coconut-Mango Moscow Mule

Hi loves! It's scorching hot here in Los Angeles and when I say scorching, I mean 102 degrees high. Now, these temperatures calls for cool, yummy cocktails and yes, in the middle of the day. So I decided, a Moscow Mule it is. I love playing around with the flavors whenever I make Moscow Mules. For this easy recipe I made a coconut-mango and served it in these beautiful Rosevelt Hammered Mugs from Copper Mug Co. I have been wanting to serve drinks in these gorgeous mugs and I was waiting until we purchase a bar cart but clearly, someone was just too excited to use her mugs. I cannot wait to decorate my new bar cart with them. They are just so rich and the hammered detailing makes them edgy and chic, serving chic. I'd recommend them as wedding gifts, new home gifts, new apartment, coworker gifts, holiday gifts (especially christmas). They're just so gorgeous.

Read on for this easy-peasy recipe.
 What you'll need (serves 2):
1 Lemon (or lime)
Mint leaves
Ginger root
1/2 cup Coconut rum (or whatever alcohol base choice)
 4 cups of juice
Ice
Juicer/blender
Copper Mugs (for style)
Pour rum/alcohol in your copper mug (for meaurement)
Pour Mango juice
Blend or shake both liquids
Pour it back into your Copper Mug and add ice
Add a slice of lemon, mint leaves, and ginger.
I garnished mine with a blackberry and served myself and I also made one for my guy.

What's your favorite drink to make on a hot day? Share your Moscow Mule recipe with me.
Thanks for swinging by loves

Paris Photo Diary

Happy Monday loves!
Today's post is a part 1 of 2 parts post of my trip to Paris, France last month. I had so many photos so I decided to break them up into Fashion and Travel photos. After going through mountainous amounts of pictures, these are the ones I filtered down to and I do hope you enjoy. I will talk more about what I did while in Paris on the next post. Of course I had to make the main picture of this post, the Eiffel Tower aka the Iron Lady. Most of the pictures here were taken as we hopped on and off the sight seeing buses. We opted to use this mode to see the main attractions as it was easy and practical. I would definitely recommend that for seeing the major landmarks.
'Since London was our home base while in Europe, we took the Eurostar into Paris which was only a    2 1/2 hr ride. I was super excited to take the train to Paris because they have a guidebook that tells you at what time exactly the train will pass by picturesque towns etc. Needless to say, my excitement turn into tiredness and I just could not keep up. I had been going and going every single day and I literally fell asleep after snapping this photo. Haha!
The architecture in Paris is pretty much the same like that of England and similar to the other parts of Europe that I have seen. Paris is much smaller than London and has a really intimate vibe if we are to compare both cities. It does have the city feel with the hustle an bustle nonetheless.
The Pantheon
The streets of Paris are small and witty filled with a soft vibrant energy.
A lovely photo of Du Louvre. It was so busy and packed with tourists.

Captured the beautiful Seine River. One of the wonderful things about Paris is the the Seine River and it runs like a main street. You can never get lost once you look for the river. It breaks the city in half and serves as the perfect landmark, if you will.
The Arc De Triomphe was magically beautiful and picturesque.
We stopped by the Eiffel Tower and snapped photos, people watch, and hung out by the park. We also enjoyed a yummy lunch at a cafe. I will share more Eiffel Tower pictures in the next post.
A shot of  Place de la Concorde and the Roue De Paris (questionable as I wasn't sure if it was the real one or a replica) and the Obelisk.
Hope you enjoy the photos diary and stay tuned for the next post later this week.

Happy First Day Of Fall

Happy first day of Fall loves!
Summer is officially over and it is time to layer up, drink, and eat lots of pumpkin flavored drinks and food, and enjoy getting ready for the holiday season. As much as I love summer, I am always ready for the change to Fall. I enjoy seeing the leaves change (for what little we get in SoCal), the yummy menu options at restaurants, and the lovely decorations in the stores and around the city. One of my favorite thing to do is get home before it get's dark, create new floors of coffee or tea, and cuddle up to good ole Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Video.
So, here's my first simple cozy-chic look and looking forward to creating many more looks to share with you all.  Hope you week has been great so far.

Easy Fall Layers In Birmingham

Hello loves! Happy mid-week. Today's look is a look I wore while I visited family in Birmingham & Wolverhampton last month. I though it would be good to show you how you can transition your summer peices into Fall. This skirt was quite perfect for summer and I will take it right into Fall with me. Simply add a jacket and ankle boots and I'm good to go. If the temperature is below what my jacket can handle, I'd add an oversized scarf and thigh high boots. You don't have to literally pack away your items, simply re-work them and make them work for you.

A Necklace With A Cause From Benevolence LA

Hi Loves!
Today's post is special one and it is special because of the cause that surrounds this beautiful Inspire Opal Gold Ball Chain Necklace and the company that sells it, Benevolence Los Angeles.  While I do love a good statement necklace, I love and live for dainty jewelry. I tend to go towards these types as they are timeless, extremely classy, and easy to wear. This company builds its practice on giving back with each purchase of their beautiful jewelry and you can rest assured that each piece has a purpose.

An Afternoon In Clapham

Hi Loves!
Happy new week to you all. Today's style post is a look I wore while I was in London last month. I had the chance to hang out with two of my other blogger babes Luna from Swagga Is My Thing and Barbara from Out Of Barbara's Box. These ladies were so good to me and showed me an amazing time. It was my first time meeting them (offline) and it felt like I knew them forever. This blogging world is such a beautiful thing and we use it wisely we can build great relationships with our readers, other bloggers and everything that comes with it.

Hello From Poland

Hi Loves
Today’s post is another installment of my recent travels to Europe. Today I am sharing photos and my experience visiting Poland. I have never gone to a country where English was minimal in communication and this was an exciting adventure to embark on. I enjoy traveling and one thing that is important to me is to ‘have no expectation’ when I go to a new place. I find that expectations can set you up for disappointment more so than satisfaction. I also like to create my own memories form direct experience.

How I Organize My New Bathroom

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #DesignedMega #CollectiveBias
Hi Loves
I hope you all had an amazing Labor Day weekend. I had a restful one which was much needed since my summer travels and hosting two of my dear friends for a week. Many of you know from my Snapchat (before Insta stories), that I recently moved and with a move comes new decor, new ideas, and fun stuff. Today, I want to share with you how I organize my bathroom and keep it looking fresh and spa like.

When we bought this home, the cabinets were a pine brown and instantly we knew we wanted to change that. It was simple, my guy sandpaper the cabinets down and painted in in a silver bullet gray. We have the same gray on two feature walls in the bedroom. Our bathroom is an on suite and we thought it would be a nice flow. It turned out great.
The bathroom is on the smaller side (Hello living in Los Angeles) and I wanted to be able to keep it simple, clean, and chic.
One thing that is very important to me is having comfort and quality in almost every aspect of my home. That includes the type of tissue I use. My guy and I loves Quilted Northern Ultra Soft & Strong® Mega Rolls because of the long-lasting comfort and the fact that it has 4x more sheets, it is also designed to give you more and that saves me multiple trips to the store and last a very long time. I picked mine up at my local Target.
I want to keep my bathroom clutter free and fresh especially that it is back to school and being an Administrator really takes it challenges on me getting ready for work. I cannot be late especially for parking because both students & faculty get to campus early and snatch the best parking spots. Being organized makes getting ready easier and quicker.  I decided to use practical organization to keep it simple and spacious.
Here are 3 simple tips to do just that:
1. Store your Quilted Northern® tissue in a  closed decorative container (like the one you see above), store the remainder behind the container or store in a  storage space. Aesthetically, I like to store my remainder in my cabinets.

2. Use matching storage container for your bathroom counter top. Since two of us share the our counter space at home, it was important that the items we both use regularly was in an easy to reach place. Instead of having them scattered all over, I matched my tissue storage container to the counter top container. Simply store items such as make up brushes, small face creams, etc. in a mini clear container then place them in your counter top container like I did in the photos below.

3. Utilize a clean, crisp coordinate set (I got mine form Target) to organize your tooth brush, hand soap, bar soap, cotton, q-tips etc. This is much more of a cleaner look than having your tooth brush sit out of place or hand soap in the original container- it might be some odd color that just doesn't go with your color scheme.

How do you guys decorate and store your bathroom essentials? I've shared mine with you so go ahead and  share yours with me and with other readers. I'm also adding this link http://cbi.as/51chp  to a Target Cartwheel offer for  Quilted Northern Ultra Soft & Strong® Mega Rolls for you to save on your next purchase. You can find them in the Bath Tissue aisle at you local Target.

Also, here's an awesome sweepstakes happening that you must enter:

Check out their Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube accounts for more information and fun stuff.

Hope you guys enjoy this post and stay tuned for more reveal as I decorate the rest of my home.

xoxo
