Pixi Beauty Goodies

Hello again loves. It is the last day of May can you believe it? I mean, I know we always say the same thing at the end of each month as if we didn't know it is going to happen. We do know that each month has to close and that it is the cycle of life, but, we shall still be in amazement as to how quickly time flies. Today, the last day in May, I will be reviewing my Pixi Beauty products that I have tested out over the past 2+ weeks and I must say I have fallen in love with Pixi Beauty

The Jumpsuit That Should Be In Your Closet

Happy Monday loves and Happy Memorial Day. I would like to take a moment to acknowledge and honor those who have served. Thank you.

Today's post is all about this beautiful jumpsuit from Tamar Collection. I love the structure and fit of this jumpsuit. The quality is impeccable and easily matches up to high-end clothing. I love being able to wear affordable pieces that matches up with out-of-budget counterparts. It's not what you wear, it is how yo wear it. I feel I'm going to own this piece for a very long time. I often judge my clothing and gauge how long I will have them, and this one, we've already made a deal that years to come, we'll still be rocking out.

As a tall gal, I loved that this fit perfectly and went all the way down to my ankles. Tamar babe, you got it right and thank you. So, along with my regular sized babes, my fellow tall girls and event those with thick thighs, grab yourself one of these. You will not regret. I also love that this color is very versatile, I plan on wearing it a lot during the fall and winter. A jumpsuit like this is also a great piece to wear when traveling.

Thanks for swinging by loves

Bodysuit & Floral Culotte

Hi loves!
So I went into Nordstrom Rack a few weeks back to find a simple cute little item to wear to a movie premiere I got invited to. You know how we are, we get an invite, we head to the store. I live for online shopping but the invite was so last minute I wouldn't have had the time so I ran to my local store.  I really didn't want to spend more than $50 on my outfit so I very attentive to items that caught my attention. I headed to the clearance section first, and in between all the racks of items (that's why I do not like in store shopping), I saw this pretty little floral culotte staring at me and pretty much waving "hey pick me". I pulled it out and nervously check the price and to my surprise it was $21. I hit the jackpot!!!! I felt like, oh well I still have another 20+ dollars to spend, so I found a summer summer dress, with a price tag of $17.  I went to cash out and the cashier said "the culottes are .01 cent and your dress is $11 dollars". I looked up at my guy, who was with me with widened eyes and with hesitation I said "ma'am, you said .01. cent?" she said "yes". I said "OK", please cash me out so I can GO. Now, I've really hit the JACKPOT!!!!!

It was my lucky day darlings and I'm enjoying my .01cent culottes. I paired it with this bodysuit I picked up at Forever 21 earlier this year. I tried searching for the exact culotte I'm wearing to link it for you guys but, I couldn't find it. So, I've added a few other options in case you were looking for something like this. Sorry, I couldn't find anything for .01 cent. hehe!
Thank you for swinging by today guys!
As always, appreciate you reading my blog.

Bohemian Crown Braid Tutorial With Goody

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #StyleByGoody #CollectiveBias

Hello there loves!
Today's post is a little tutorial on making a Bohemian Crown Braid. Spring and summertime is the perfect time to explore hair styles and incorporate fun styles. With the help of my Goody Hair Products which you can find here http://cbi.as/3jter
I'm going to show you step by step how to achieve this super easy style, so grab your Goody Clean Radiance Oval Cushion Brush and Goody SlideProof Silicon Ponytailers. I also love using Goody SlideProof Spikey Silicone Elastic Neon Ponytailers and the fact that they both come in 30 counts. I do not know about you, but I lose my Pontytailers like every single day.
Step 1: Have your tools handy. I love using the Goody Clean Radiance Oval Cushion Brush because the copper bristles reduces build-up for a healthier shine plus copper bristles reduce natural buildup that is produced over time- results based on consumer usage and perception study.

Step 2-3: Brush hair in full circle around parameter of your head

Step 4: Get your Goody SlideProof Silicon Ponytailer out and ready to separate hair into two ponytails
Step 5:  Release one ponytail and begin braiding hair on one side around the parameter of your head

Step 6: Continue braiding hair around the other side contiuning around the parameter of your head

Step 7: Finish braiding

Step 8: Wrap and tuck the finished end under already braided portion
The next step is to tug on the edges of the braid to loosen, pulling enough hair down to give effect of falling curls from the braid.
Finally, add flowers or leaves from your garden or any floral household items to your hair to give it the Bohemian edge and enjoy your new Spring/Summer crown braid. This style is perfect for any occasion- prom, wedding, pool party etc. The options are limitless.

To find the Goody Products I used, along with plenty other new assortment of Goody products, head to your local Walgreens and head the hair care aisle.  They currently have a buy one get one (less expensive item free) from 5/1-6/4, that is less than two weeks so hurry over and treasure hunt for all the new amazing hair products Goody has to offer.

I do hope you enjoy this tutorial as much as I enjoyed creating it for you
Have good day loves

5 Life Hacks For The Busy Millennial

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #CentrumFunFlavors #CollectiveBias

Hi loves!
Happy new week. A new week where new possibilities arise, new adventures, new hopes, new beginnings, and new dreams. There are endless ways to look at a new week and I do hope you embrace your views and flexibility. Today's post is about balancing, time-management, and hacking your way through life. I'm going to focus on 5 categories and how you can hack your way through these categories but taking little steps and strategizing.
 1. WORK:
Work is one of those life happenings can can easily cause stress and leave no time for yourself. It is inevitable, work has to be done and for a full time worker like myself who also runs a full time blog, I'm always searching for extra hours out of my day. This may sound familiar to you too, I know you are nodding right now. So here's my tip on how to hack the work stress.
-Be kind and thoughtful to your coworkers/teammates. If you look at it, you 'live' with your coworkers 40hours per week and you spend most of your waking hours around them five days per week. A good gesture is to bring donuts for everyone, I mean, who doesn't like donuts right? Establishing a calming, fun,  and easy work environment can really help make your week great.

 2. SOCIAL:
I know I speak for my fellow millennials that the social life is quite stressful and very hard to maintain, and keeping up with everyone and all that is happening. From social media, to dining out, to climbing career ladders. Here's my hack:
-I Meet up with my college friends and other blogger pals a lot and we dine out a lot. One way I hack this type of lifestyle is to try to schedule two separate meet ups on the same day and in one general location. So, I will leave work, head to a meet up at 6Pm in location X, and then I will meet up with a second group at 8PM in the same location, X. This saves me time, energy, and parking fees (hello, I live in greater Los Angeles).
 3. FAMILY:
Oh I need a few of you to witness this with me "I don't see you anymore" "Haven't talk to you in a while" "When will you stop by". How guilty do you feel at these cries? Me? very. It  is so hard to keep up and catch up with family members while leading a busy lifestyle. However, for me, it is important to stop in my tracks and figure out how to spend time with my family. Here's my hack:
-Invite a group of family members out all together or host a game/movie night at home. This way you get to see everyone and you can mingle and catch up side-bar with the ones you haven't seen or spoken to in a while. This helps so that you do not have to have 15 individual dates,  especially that you do not have that kind of time to meet up.
 4. FITNESS:
Here we go, at this stage in life, I  and probably many of you cannot get away with eating burgers at midnight after hanging out with a bunch of friends (hello college life, I miss you). Instead, we have to get our fitness game going. However, it is quite a demanding role in the life of a millennial, at least for me it is. I know the importance of working out and keeping myself as healthy and fit as I can, but honestly, the time is what breaks me most of the time. Here's my hack:
-Wake up 30 minutes earlier than normal (I know it is hard but try it), pop a work-out dvd in and get it in for 30 mins. This really and truly sets the tone for a productive day. You can also use your lunch breaks to take a walk or if you work close to a gym, run on over for a 30-45 min work out.
 5. FOOD:
Leading a busy lifestyle means you tend have no time to cook. It becomes easy to grab food on the go and this saves you time right? Well, I beg to differ on this one. It actually does not quite save you time, because where you thought you gained in time, you will have to give it back elsewhere (extra 20 minutes to work off that large french fries). You get my gist right? Here's my hack:
-Meal prep on Sundays or whichever day is your 'off/home' day. Meal prep doesn't need to be that all your meals are cooked and laid out in tupperware. Meal prep can be as easy as boiling 10 eggs on Sundays, refrigerating them and eating two each morning for breakfast, or seasoning all your meat that you would like to cook during the week. All you have to do is put it in the sink in the morning and it'll be ready for cooking when you get home. Also, bring lunch to work, bring groceries to work for that matter. You will find it so rewarding and easy when you have sweet tooth to reach for your raisons or dark chocolate rather than running to the vending machine. Here's a quick little recipe tutorial on my frozen smoothie packets which helps me to save time and have a healthy quick option in the mornings:
 1/2 Banana
1 cup Kale
Handful of Blackberries
Handful of Blueberries
1 Scoop Protein Powder
1 Tbsp Acai Powder
This is one serving, you can make as many bags in one setting, freeze them and in the mornings, put one in your smoothie maker while you get ready.
Loves, you wont ever have it all together, ever (if you do, send me an email and teach me please). It is quite ok to feel out of place, unbalanced, at a loss for equilibrium. What matters is that you get up when you can and take charge as often as you can. Additionally, taking your vitamins are essential and there is no going around it. I take  Centrum Vitamints- and loving the new raspberry flavor, and  Centrum Gummies- which are very addictive, be warned you might eat the whole jar once you pop it open. I take them as a way to ensure some supplement to my daily diet and trying my best to get as many nutritional intakes as possible.
Head to your local Walmart and head over to the pharmacy section, in that aisle you will find the Centrum Vitamins. Loves, here is a coupon link http://cbi.as/3jdwt for you to enjoy and staying healthy with simple solutions like Centrum Gummies and Vitamints. While you have the coupon, stock up and store some at home, in your car, at work, and even in your gym bag.

I hope you found this post useful and that you will incorporate some of my hacks (if you aren't already), into your lifestyle.  Let me know your favorite Centrum Vitamins.

Thanks for reading darlings. Have a great week.
xoxo

My DIY Song Note T-shirt Inspired By Coca-Cola Share A Song Bottles

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and The Coca-Cola Company. All opinions are mine alone. #ShareASong #CollectiveBias
"Work hard, play hard" is definitely my motto in life and even more so this summer. Music is such a beautiful thing, and it is even a much better feeling to draw inspiration from my favorite music. Seriously, pause for a moment and think about how our lives would have been without music. Wow, I actually paused and thought, and everything seemed so life-less and cold. But guess what loves? That is certainly not happening, we have music and it is here to stay! I grew up with music around literally everywhere. Caribbean folks love music like no other and it is undoubtably one of my favorite memories growing up in Jamaica; it is inevitably in my blood. One fond memory is commuting to high school on public transportation, and if a taxi did not have blazing music, my friends and I would not ride in that taxi.
Summer is the perfect time for sharing a Coke and listening to cool tunes while making warm memories. Right now at Target, you can purchase 20oz Coca-Cola bottles that feature over 70+ song lyrics that represent a moment, memory, mood or feeling waiting to connect you with friends and family. This summer, Target guests will also have the chance to get exclusive Music Artist Content and a 25% off Cartwheel offer when they share their love of Coca-Cola and music with @ShareMoreMusic and #ShareASong. Now how about that?

After picking up my Coca-Cola with 'Share A Song' labeling at my local Target I was so inspired that I decided I was going to satisfy my creative juices by re-vamping one of my old t-shirts that I can wear all summer. The music bug totally got me so I decided to add a flipped song note on my t-shirt. I always love seeing cute creative t-shirts and that's exactly what I went for with mine. My touch was to flip my song note backwards. It's unique & cute. It was so easy I almost wanted to pull all of my other t-shirts out and re-vamped them.
Here's how I created my easy Clef note t-shirt:

You will need:
1. Old or New T-shirt (your choice)
2. Iron
3. A sheet of iron-on transfer (for t-shirts)
4. Printer (home/printing shop)
4. Coca-Cola Share a song bottle for inspiration :)

Here are the easy steps to take:

 1. Print whatever it is that inspired you- no limits, It could be art, quote, a name, a state etc. If you do not have a home printer, just go to your local printing shop but, bring your own transfer paper with you. Ask them to print whatever it is you want on your transfer paper and take it home. Make sure you flip the image or asked that it is flipped before printing.
2. Lay your t-shirt on a flat and sturdy surface and iron to remove wrinkles. Position your graphic transfer paper in the location you want on your shirt.
3. Flip it over then iron the transfer paper making sure you press into the t-shirt, running iron vertically and horizontally at least 3 solid times.
4. Let it cool for 1 minute then peel off.
5. Reveal your beautiful DIY T-shirt. You can treat the t-shirt the same way you would if you had bought a graphic t-shirt from any store. Wash, iron, get it wet just the same.
My guy joined in on the fun and got himself a bottle too. I'm telling you, it's contagious and just so fun. Once you're all done, wear your t-shirt with pride. I wore mine to hang with friends at home for an evening of card games.

Loves, the Coca-Cola Share A Song bottles are super easy to find at Target, Just look for them on a display cart just like this near the front of the store (close to the cash registers). I spent quite a while reading and singing the lyrics on them, it was just too much fun. A few people even walked up and joined in on the action of singing the lyrics on the bottles.

I have a little something in store for you too loves. You can receive your exclusive music artist content and cartwheel offer by joining us for the Share a Coke and a Song Twitter party on May 24th, 2016 at 1-2PM EST where you’ll have an opportunity to unlock more surprises from Coca-Cola and Target!

Here's how to get in on the action and read more about how to RSVP and the Rules:
