Bus Stop Chic

Hello darlings. Hope you had  a lovely weekend. Today I am sharing with you all this chic look. If I had to describe my work style to you, this would probably be it. Structured pants, chic top and heels. Because I am 5' 10", I usually go for ankle pants or cropped pants for work. I also love these types as they help show off my shoes. Like who wants to wear nice shoes and have it hidden? Uhm, not me:)
Although I tend to mostly wear heels to work, I always have flats in my office and in my car, preferably black, beige or a two-toned mixture of black beige. However, do not be fooled by my clutch, I do carry a big bag to work. You know, to hold all the stuff girls carry around in it- pretty much a lot of nothing. Ha!
While these photos describe my typical work-style, this is also an outfit I'd wear to a business meeting, luncheon, conference etc.

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your week.
xoxo

Tomboy

TGIF! Oh yes. Happy Friday guys!
Today I'm showing you my tomboy side. When I was growing up my personality was a good mix of tomboy and girly. I grew up around a lot of boys so that made me competitive, feisty, sharp and pretty much-boy-ish. I loved it. My mom use to fix my blouse from over my back (a style Jamaican kids-boys, would do), and tell me "yuh a nuh boy pickney so pull ova yuh blowze ah cova up yuh ches' which translates- you're not a boy, so pull your blouse over and cover up your chest area. Ha. I was like between 3-7 years old.
Anyway, this looks takes me back to great childhood memories.
Have a great weekend loves!

White Out Custom Made

Happy Mid-week babes. I am sure most of us are trying to get over the hump. I'm currently on my second cup of coffee.
Let's get to it. Todays post features the gorgeous white dress that my fellow Jamaican and college mate (Go Bruins!!) Jiggyfychick , made for me. She is so talented, she practically whipped me up this dress without measurements and created a style that she knew I'd like.
What I love the most about this dress is the zipper details in the front. It really makes it unique. I also love the mesh piece she added to the top which gave it the perfect peep of sexy while keeping it classy in the lower portion.
I decided to pair it with my leopard strappy and blue clutch.
Enjoy the rest of your week loves.

Blue Hue Maxi w/ eShakti

Well Hello darlings. A happy Monday to all of you. Hope you all had an amazing weekend. I've been teasing you with this beautiful eShakti dress on my Instagram since last week. I must admit this has to be my current favorite dress and definitely will be a favorite for years to come. I will wear it till the fabric falls apart. That I can promise.  The material is rich in texture and clearly rich in beauty. I love to know that my garment will withstand multiple washes, this totally will.
I love discovering new places to shop and this brand is a must try. The awesome thing about eShakti is that they customize your orders. Yes, you can get your items customize in length and added accessories such as pockets (as in my dress) on your item of choice. This is amazing, it is almost like designing your own clothing.
Here's a another kicker for all my tall and petitie girls. You can get up to 6'11" sizing in length. Uhm hello...winning! I'm 5'10" and to get my dresses, pants and long garments the perfect length, requires me to stick to certain retailers, and also limits my confident in online shopping for those particular items. eShakti customized this dress at a 5'11" height for me because I wanted to wear it with high heels and not feel as if the dress belonged to someone else.  The shipping was very fast, it was delivered three days after the tracking became available. The order form was so simple and easy to use when selecting my length and added pockets on this dress. Some of my other faves are Gingham Cottom Maxi and Coat Dress that would be perfect for Fall and Winter.
You can find more information about eShakti  on their social network sites:  Facebook , Pinterest & Instagram. eShakti would also love to give you 10% off your first order by entering "styleweekender" at check out. This code is valid from 09/19/15-10/19/15.
