Shades of Green

Today's easy going style is brought to you by my $10 H&M dress! I loveeee a good steal. Someone just commented on my picture on Instagram that they got it for $7. I must tell ya, it is tempting to go and stock up on the other two colors they have, but I think I am on a shopping break. I had a long work week the other day and had lots of deadlines to meet and that meant stress. How do I handle stress, I shop. So, I apologize for being a repeat offender for the next few weeks/months (I HOPE) because my wallet is now close.

What I plan on doing is going through my closet and re-purposing some of my clothes. A few rips here, a few hems there and maximizing the hell out of them for the summer. Whoop! Who is with me?

Forever Faded//Forever Nostalgic

 

Well hello loves:)

 

Can you believe it is almost July? time surely goes by fast. Today I wanted to bring you an awesome piece of clothing, the ever coveted denim jacket. Now, if you've been following this Blog or my Instagram (@styleweekender), then you would have picked up on my love for denim. However, there is something super special about this piece of denim. It is made from Hemp and is created in the most sustainable manner, which helps with protecting our environment and the things that live in it.

 

I was super amazed by the product quality upon arrival. It was soft and textured to detail. It moves when my body moves and the added fact that the hemp blend is certified organic cotton made me fell even more in love. This piece really made me think about what I put on my body. I wanted to share with you all something special to me, the beach. I grew up going to the beach almost every Sunday. When I migrated to the U.S 10 years ago to be exact, for the first few months I would often become extremely nostalgic for my home county, Jamaica (just in case you didn't know). For every time I was sad and missing home, I would take a drive down to this beach where I shot these pictures. This was one of the very few things that made me feel 'at home' or slightly a connection to home. I must admit, the ocean/beach isn't the same everywhere-Haha! A new move is never easy, so if there is anyone reading this blog post and is experiencing anything similar, I suggest you align yourself with anything that reminds you of the thing you are missing. Try it!

Culotte Pants & Leopard

 

There is not another combination that is a clean and crisp as an all white outfit. I love wearing all white. It is very angelic although hard to maintain. If you are anything as clumsy as I am, then you probably with get make-up stains or any other dirt on your outfit. I literally have to take extra-extra precaution when wearing white. Let's discuss Culottes, or Gaucho--whichever name you call it. They are definitely in right now. Get yourself a pair, even if you think they aren't your style forte. Here is another style I posted a few months back Gaucho/Culotte Jumpsuit . Remember take risks (I bet you wouldn't know that these are out of my comfort zone-but I love them) If I or you do not take a few risk, I or you will end up wearing jeans and a T-shirt for the rest of our lives. So, LIVE!

It was smashed in the back of my closet among coats and stuff...I saw its little legs peeping while looking for an oversized cardigan. Pom Pom Shorts

 

 

Hello lovies:)

 

Today's look is a very casual vibe. I brought out these cute "pom pom" shorts (another buy from the Lilly Pulitzer for Target Collection) See others Boom Boom Lilly Dress and Lilly For Target Romper. I actually got two of these shorts, the other color is pink. I figured they would come in handy for summer and also future beachy vacations. I am also loving these comfy Tory Burch espadrilles I got from the Nordstrom yearly sale. They are still currently on sale.
